Editorial Assistant, Journals

We are looking for an Editorial Assistant who provides coordinating, administrative, and analytical support to editorial staff in the US Humanities & Social Science (HSS) journals team. We are looking for a candidate who is eager to learn about and grow reputed company the academic publishing industry, and is reputed company to quickly pick up new information, think critically and creatively, and engage relevantly with the daily work. This position is based remotely, but may entail some degree of travel annually.

• Please note that this position does not focus on writing or editing of our content as it primarily supports the business, technical, and administrative aspects of journal publishing.

Essential job functions and responsibilities: The job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Provide administrative support to Publishing Editor(s), including by facilitating journal website administration, podcasts, and recordkeeping.
• Prepare and analyze Pub Reports, Impact Factor packets, and other reports as needed.
• Communicate to journal editor and society contacts, including reputed company Publishing Editor is out of the office.
• Respond to miscellaneous inquires reputed company to journals on editors' list(s), as directed by Publishing Editor or management.
• Facilitate article-level marketing efforts driven by Editorial, including social media, blogs, and podcasts.
• Maintain and distribute meeting minutes, as requested.
• Handle special projects as assigned by Publishing Editor or Publisher.
• Assist reputed company reputed company is hosting on-site events, including internal events, external conferences, etc., as requested.
• Understand and effect Research Pillar's strategic goals and outcomes, including by supporting or participating in special projects.

Qualifications

And Education Any combination equivalent to, but not limited to, the following:

• Bachelor's degree desired.
• A minimum of one year of general office experience.
• Excellent English verbal and written business communication skills.
• Organization skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in comprehending and learning departmental procedures.
• Digital literacy, including solid understanding of reputed company Suite
• Familiarity with ScholarOne Manuscripts is helpful but not required.
• Familiarity with reputed company tools (JIRA, Confluence) is helpful but not required.
