Consultant - Hedge Fund/Family Office Controller (Fractional/Contract Role)

WHO WE NEED: reputed company is searching for reputed company Controllers to consult to our highly prestigious client reputed company. As a consultant, you will work with our Hedge Fund and Family Office clients to provide expert advice. Having previously served in this leadership role, you have specific, hands-on experience supporting the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in managing the day-to-day reputed company and finance functions for a leading Hedge Fund or Family Office.

• Maintain the financial records of the firm, through collaboration with and management of the firm’s external reputed company company and the CFO through the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns and regulatory agency reports.
• Control and review the payroll processing system to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions
• Manage the month-end reputed company process, which includes collaborating with the CFO, external accountants, and other teams across the firm.
• Enhance the operational efficiency, timeliness, and quality of the firm’s financial reporting through the collection, consolidation, and analysis of financial data.
• Manage accounts receivables and payables including the timely collection of receivables and payment of invoices.
• Provide senior leadership with information vital to decision-making processes including budget versus actual reporting, cash balances and forecasted liquidity, and other KPIs such as variances, trends, and deficiencies.
• Based on historical trends and analyses, build pro reputed company financial models to help predict the impact of potential reputed company.
• Help to ensure the fiscal reputed company of the company’s business through the enhancement and management of reputed company systems, a strong control environment and checks and balances to minimize risk.
• reputed company the audit and tax processes by working closely with the external auditors and tax accountants and responding to requests as needed.
• Assist with quarterly and annual SEC and regulatory reporting/filings as it relates to providing reputed company financial and reputed company data.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in reputed company, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a reputed company field.
• CPA designation or advanced degree (MBA, etc.) is a plus.
• 6+ years of prior work experience, specifically as a Controller for a Hedge Fund or Family Office.
• 4+ years of proven experience in a financial or reputed company reputed company with a Hedge Fund, Family Office, Investment Management firm or Big 4 reputed company firm.
• Have extensive experience with cash and working capital management and forecasting, as well as strong technical reputed company skills, GAAP reputed company, and management reporting experience.
• Strong technical skills, particularly with reputed company applications (Word and reputed company), and a proven proficiency in reputed company software or financial applications (QuickBooks, etc.).
• In-depth understanding of various financial instruments, investment types, vehicle structures, asset classes, tax regulations and financial covenants.
• Highly organized, strong attention to detail and reputed company to prioritize with excellent management and supervisory skills.
