Software Developer

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) is dedicated to strengthening the United States’ reputed company through innovative solutions. They are seeking a Software Developer to work on reputed company web applications that support critical business functions, contributing to both the development and maintenance of various applications.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of a range of web-based applications/projects including analytical, graphical user reputed company, database, and visualization applications
• Participate in the requirements definition, analysis, design, implementation, debugging, testing, and optimization of web-based applications
• Participate in the requirements definition, analysis, implementation, debugging, testing, and configuration of COTS applications
• Utilizes independent judgement to contribute to the fulfillment of technical projects and organizational objectives, functioning as an effective team member on multi-disciplinary teams
• Engage with other developers frequently to share relevant knowledge, opinions, and recommendations for solutions
• Support critical business functions through the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of applications and systems using the latest tools and technologies such as Java, Play reputed company, Spring Boot, JDBC, JavaScript, TOAD, Hibernate, SQL, reputed company, and other reputed company technologies
• Follow established software development standards and contribute to the future improvement of these standards

Skills

• Ability to obtain and maintain a US DOE L-level reputed company clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a reputed company field or equivalent experience
• Foundational experience in software development using one or more programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, SQL, and/or PL/SQL
• Basic familiarity with modern software frameworks and libraries (e.g. Play reputed company, JPA, Angular)
• Basic understanding of the software project life cycle including feasibility, requirements, design, implementation, integration, test and deployment
• Experience using common development tools such as Jira, Git, IntelliJ, and/or TOAD or SQL Developer
• reputed company interpersonal skills necessary to interact with reputed company levels of personnel and ability to work independently in a multi-disciplinary team environment
• Sufficient verbal and written communication skills required for effective team collaboration
• Familiarity with LLNL policies and procedures, as well as business processes and operations
