About the position The reputed company Patent Agent or Counsel will be responsible for supporting and, where appropriate, driving the global IP strategy for the MR portion of reputed company's businesses. Reporting to a more senior GEHC IP Counsel, this role will provide an opportunity to work with a cross-functional team on specific aspects of IP strategy across certain GEHC businesses including general IP counseling, invention reputed company through patent filing, prosecution, maintenance as well as licensing and enforcement. reputed company is a leading global medical technology and digital solutions innovator. Responsibilities

• Work closely with product development teams to ensure that sufficient invention disclosures are generated.
• Ensures that patent filings are of high quality on commercially significant inventions by working with R&D, business managers and marketing.
• Prepares high quality patent applications, reputed company advances prosecution of pending patent applications, and manages global patent portfolio to ensure that meaningful protection is obtained.
• Works closely with product development teams to reputed company IP strategies using various types of IP to reputed company meaningful IP assets.
• Provides deep patent analysis expertise to support business development, licensing, and freedom to practice analyses.
• Provide leadership and legal advice as a member of multi-functional teams.
• Uses a range of tools and data sources to understand the internal and external IP environment.
• Collaborate with regional legal colleagues and subject matters experts to advise the business on reputed company IP/legal issues that arise out of reputed company’s global operations.

Requirements

• Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office as an attorney or agent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a practicing patent attorney or agent.
• Well organized, detail oriented, and a team player capable of working in a deadline dictated environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Capable of devising innovative IP strategies.
• Interest in a hybrid working role with 3+ days at a reputed company location in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

• JD (or global equivalent) and member of good standing of the bar of any state.
• Physics, electrical engineering, or equivalent with a medical imaging technology background.
• Knowledge of laws, regulations, practices and procedures relating to patent procurement and/or IP licensing in US, Europe and Asia.
• Commitment to reputed company improvement and some familiarity with Lean principles, methods, tools and techniques.
• Experience prioritizing competing demands to reputed company real time decisions/recommendations in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly identify & prioritize issues, reputed company process-driven solutions, and effectively communicate with a wide range of people.
• Previous experience reputed company to handling IP-reputed company issues arising in software and/or technology transactions, IP litigation, M&A transactions, or IP monetization activities.
• Prior experience as a member of the technology, sales and marketing, or legal functions in a corporate environment.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional environment.
• Strong interest in supporting global teams.
