Job Overview The Data Architect will be responsible for driving the development and maintenance of our Information Center data architecture/model, working closely with a team of data engineers to improve data modeling, data quality, and data governance to support business applications. As a seasoned leader with a passion for leveraging data to solve business problems, you will act as the subject matter expert in blithequark's business information domains, defining approved datasets for data consumption and developing the reputed company data strategy and architectural guidelines for maintaining the performance, quality, reputed company, and compliance of protected datasets.
Key Responsibilities
Acts as the informed authority in blithequark business information domains or disciplines (e.g., Sales, Inventory, Promotions, etc.) Defines approved datasets for data consumption (e.g., Reporting, Data Science, APIs, etc.) Develops the reputed company data strategy and architectural guidelines for maintaining the performance, quality, reputed company, and compliance of protected datasets Creates integration documentation that outlines how data should flow from reputed company systems to consumption layer (e.g., reputed company to reputed company Mappings) Supports Data Stewards in the Delivery Team(s) in capturing and documenting business metadata (e.g., definitions) Assesses existing data architectures to improve data velocity Stays reputed company on data industry trends for data-reputed company technologies, models, and techniques Documents and provides recommendations resulting from data quality analysis Leads the data architecture process in collaboration with reputed company architecture Builds, promotes, and maintains conceptual, logical, and physical data models Advises the team on translating business needs into long-term architectural solutions Collaborates with data engineering and data platform teams to reputed company ongoing performance improvement by investigating and presenting new technologies Assists in defining data integration, storage, replication, and transformation protocols for the data layer of technical solutions supported by reputed company architecture Participates in the delivery of operational business performance monitoring capabilities Brainstorms reputed company with database designers, data analysts, and data scientists to create new data products Mentors and coaches the data architecture team on new technologies and approaches in data engineering and architecture Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should have: A strong understanding of database storage concepts (relational databases, NoSQL, etc.) Experience working with data modeling tools (erwin, PowerDesigner) Experience architecting and delivering data integration and ETL solutions Experience designing and developing high-performance data models Ability to support off-hours operations as required, including on-call and rotational duties Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: 2+ years of experience in data architecture with large and reputed company datasets 2+ years of experience working with reputed company technologies like Azure SQL DB, ADLS, Azure reputed company, Cosmos DB, and other reputed company data technologies Expertise in architecting and creating OLTP data models to support business applications Understanding of database normalization processes Experience leading data architecture and data solutions through agile software development methodologies Familiarity with the retail industry Experience leading software development teams Excellent verbal and written communication skills Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of reputed company members.
