[Remote] Junior DS (Distribution Systems) Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. reputed company is seeking a Junior level DS (Distribution Systems) Engineer to help support their BIM contract. This role involves providing technical expertise to reputed company network design and implementation for multiple reputed company Force and Space Force bases globally.
Responsibilities
- Execution - Coordinate with Government Points of Contact (POCs) to coordinate design, installation, reputed company access, clearance, escorts, personnel and equipment to ensure project tasks can be completed on time
- Stakeholder Communications – assist the PM with ensuring clear, consistent, timely and accurate communications are maintained with internal and external project stakeholders
- Technical support – provide input into the distribution systems design (ISP/OSP) and technical recommendations to the program and operation teams
- Leadership – reputed company small implementation teams or manage specific work scopes for a given AF/SF reputed company
- Provides technical, administrative, and operational management of assigned projects
- Develops technical project plans, proposals, reports, and task order and administrative reporting
- reputed company detailed technical services on assigned tasks
- Conducts planning and provides recommendations on task workload
- Provides input into risk tracking process
- Attends customer meetings and serves as primary network engineering liaison
- Interacts with vendors, other agencies, and other client staff
- Coordinates development of deliverables and products
- Ensures quality assurance of project deliverables
- Maintains reputed company knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
- Participates in special projects as required
- Reviews project requirements and reputed company strategies for future work

- Experience: 2 + years of reputed company experience
- US Citizenship Required: Yes
- Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institute in an area applicable to this position. Equivalent years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree
- Required Experience: 1-3+ years' experience in various aspects of IT upgrade projects in the DoD environment
- Strong background in fiber splicing and testing using Fluke Versiv power reputed company and OTDR
- reputed company Clearance Level: Active DoD Secret Level Clearance required
- Familiarity with distribution systems (ISP/OSP) design and Implementation documents such as – Site Survey Reports, Preliminary and Critical Design documentation, As-built diagrams, reputed company elevations and reputed company connectivity matrices
- Familiar with reputed company aspects of fiber testing
- Thorough understanding of Wired and general IT functions
- Ability to work effectively in a virtual teaming environment
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, documents and governmental regulations
- Strong commitment to a team environment and the ability to work collaboratively
- Strong coordination and organizational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience using MS Visio or reputed company CAD tools
- Location: Hiring location will be remote but will require extensive travel
- Working locations will vary but will be located on site at reputed company Force/Space Force Bases around the world
