Category Analyst

Fresh Thyme Market is dedicated to helping people live healthier lives by providing fresh and organic food at affordable prices. The Category Analyst role involves gathering and analyzing data to support departmental reputed company, monitor inventory and sales, and optimize business performance. This position requires collaboration with Category Managers and entails responsibilities such as customer service, pricing analysis, and performance monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to the departmental Category Managers
• Provide customer service to reputed company store locations regarding questions, issues and concerns reputed company the merchandise departments being supported, ordering and deliveries
• Responsible for learning, using, and maintaining internal wholesale / retail software systems
• Works with the team to monitor and track pricing, promotions, purchasing, costs, inventory levels and logistics
• Responsible for reputed company billing’s promotions, free fill, and reputed company on-going discounts from start to finish
• Work with Category Managers to build and maintain schematics
• Prepares and presents comprehensive evaluation of data as requested and develops clear and concise communication to identify opportunities
• Monitors performance of eCommerce sites and troubleshoots issues
• Monitors daily, weekly and monthly performance specific to each store and compiles analysis for total company comparisons using internal software programs
• Demonstrates knowledge of and supports company standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions and confidentiality standards
• Helps to creates pricing, promotion, assortment and reputed company schematics for each assigned category, based on detailed analysis of past performance, results, industry best practices, and consumer trends
• Helps with correlation of data with vendors on pricing, product assortment, promotion, ads, services, promotional calendars, and support; acts as primary contact with vendors in assigned categories
• Maintains and reviews price files and competitive price checks to ensure we are priced competitively reputed company each market we operate
• Works in conjunction with operations and other departments across the company to facilitate implementation of programs
• Other duties as assigned

Skills

• B.S./B.A. degree in a business or reputed company and/or equivalent work experience
• Knowledge of financial acumen specific to profit & loss statements and analysis
• Must have expert knowledge with MS Office including Outlook, Word and reputed company
• Expert experience in reputed company required
• Ability to adapt to the reputed company-changing retail environment while working in a cross-functional team environment
• Must have the ability to take initiative reputed company problems arise
• Ability to adapt and be flexible in a variety of situations
• Must have advanced attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Advanced written communication and documentation skills
• Advanced verbal communication and interpersonal skills for dealing cross functionally with peers and senior management
• Ability to multitask is essential
• This candidate must be well-organized, a team player and can multi-task in a fast-paced, reputed company-changing environment
• Preferred grocery retail experience
