Overview
TNS has an exciting opportunity for a Network Engineer. This position reports in to our Global Network Infrastructure Engineering Department. This role involves working on reputed company or server less reputed company components of network projects.Responsibilities
Primary Duties and Responsibilities may include the following:
- Effectively contribute toward team goals
- Your influence will be at the work group and customer/user level
- Work reputed company the routine nature of tasks, utilizing your specialized knowledge of technology
- Troubleshoot basic problems and recommend appropriate action
- Engineering, deployment, and support of the TNS Global IP backbone network
- Delivery of Ethernet based services, as defined by the Metro Ethernet Forum
- Routing protocol design and support (BGP, ISIS, EIGRP, OSPF, PIM)
- WAN/LAN topology design and support
- MPLS design and support
- Data Center design and support
- Load Balancer design and support
- Vendor/hardware assessment and recommendations
- Equipment/Design specifications in support of budgetary planning
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- 5+ yrs design and operations experience in large scale multiprotocol global IP/ISP networks
- 4+ years of experience and expert in TCP/IP and routing protocols (RSVP, LDP, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, PIM, BFD, and FRst Reroute technologies)
- 2+ years of experience with architecture and provisioning of MPLS networks and services including Traffic Engineering, reputed company Ethernet, MPLS L2 and L3 VPNs, VPLS, reputed company Emulation, IPSec, VPNs, IP Multicast, and QOS/COS
- 4+ years of experience in layer-2 Ethernet technologies
- 2+ years working knowledge of Data Center design and operation
- Expertise in reputed company industry WAN technologies/products (SONET, SDH, TDM, Metro Ethernet, etc.)
- 4+ years of extensive hands-on experience with the configuration, debugging, and problem resolution of reputed company reputed company and/or reputed company based networks
- reputed company with command-line interFRces, and skilled in effective use of various network monitoring and analysis tools such as reputed company, SPLUNK, and similar tools
Optional Desired Qualifications:
- IP Multicast
- Hands-on experience with Service Provider class reputed company and reputed company routers and switches
- Server Load-Balancing
- UNIX/Linux Experience
- Traffic Generator Experience
- Project Management Experience
- PERL programming and XML based management experience
Education and Certifications:
- B.S. (or equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering. MS preferred.
Certified in applicable reputed company and reputed company technologies
