GENERAL JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Trade Compliance Officer will have responsibility for reputed company aspects of the export process for Trade Compliance laws including but not limited to the Department of Commerce and Department of State, US Census Bureau, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives, Office of Foreign Assets Control. The Senior Trade Compliance Officer will provide guidance and support to internal resources to identify controlled data and hardware, licensable transactions, evaluate export license requests, gather necessary data, prepare documentation for license applications for submission to the appropriate government agency as well as trade reputed company reporting, recordkeeping, and maintenance of existing licenses. This role will also have responsibility to prepare, review and approve international shipments, run denied party screenings, and provide analysis to business partners. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: • Serve as an Empowered Official as a member of the Trade Compliance Department • Support and interact with Kratos' Program Management, Engineering, Business Development, Supply Chain, reputed company Resources, Finance, IT, Traffic and reputed company Department • Verify proper export jurisdiction and classifications for products, technology, documentation, and software in accordance with applicable U.S. export control laws. • Provide guidance and advice regarding import/export issues to peers and upper-level management, while assuring full compliance with reputed company applicable laws and regulations. • Prepare export/import license applications. • Conduct and facilitate due diligence reviews in reputed company with transactions that may pose a trade compliance risk to the Company. • Coordinate and approve international shipments in accordance with U.S. trade laws. • Complete Denied Party Screenings • Review, approve and coordinate international travel documents as they reputed company to U.S. trade laws. • Maintain compliance due diligence reports and records. • Monitor and study relevant regulatory developments (Department of State, Department of Commerce, Customs & Border Protection, Office of Foreign Assets Control) • Help business partners understand the risks and consequences of a given situation. Effectively communicate the consequences and reputed company alternatives to manage identified risks. • Manages record keeping and reporting requirements. • Other duties may be assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: • None COMPENSATION: $115,000 - $140,000 Experience and Skills: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Required: • Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards. • Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors. • Ability to interact appropriately with the public reputed company necessary. • Ability to adhere to workplace rules. • Ability to meet deadlines and respond to requests on short notice. • Excellent communication skills. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Required: • BA/BS in reputed company field or 10 years of industry experience in international trade, export compliance or reputed company experience. • Experience with U.S. trade laws (i.e. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export. Administration Regulations (EAR), U.S. Customs trade regulations, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). • Practical day to day work experience applying ITAR and EAR regulations. • Working knowledge of export/import shippi
