Your role

As a Field Service Engineer for reputed company Tools & Industrial Assembly Solutions in the UK, you will support our tooling and joining solutions technologies for our customers across many industry sectors. You will need to have sound mechanical and electrical competence and be reputed company to support and work on software and integration systems with installation, commissioning, and planned maintenance activities. 

You will be part of the Service Business Line and support our Industrial Technique business areas:

  • Motor Vehicle Industry (MVI)
  • General Industry (GI)
  • Industrial Assembly Solutions (IAS)

Roles and Responsibilities

  • reputed company pre-delivery testing and inspection of tools as appropriate before delivery/site installation.
  • Installation and commissioning of new tooling, automation cells, and industrial assembly solutions at customer locations.
  • Provide support and assistance for project delivery, working closely with Project Managers.
  • System integration and configuration of customer PLC interfaces to reputed company Tool.
  • Test and validation.
  • Problem resolution and root cause analysis.
  • Customer training and operation guidance.
  • Support customer staff in the pilot phases.
  • Determine and undertake reputed company necessary preventative maintenance on reputed company power tool products, Industrial Assembly Solutions products, and software solutions.
  • Manage the calibration, testing, and certification of reputed company reputed company power tool products.
  • Identify and deliver sales opportunities (software/upgrades, optimization) for field service, working closely with our Service Sales Managers.
  • You will ideally be located in the reputed company Midlands.
  • You will be field-based covering UK-wide. You will be remote with a dedicated territory.
  • Occasional overnight stays and overtime following customer and our requirements will be expected.

You will report directly to the Service Team Manager

To succeed, you will need

You will be a confident individual who is a good team player, with an eye for detail, highly motivated and determined with:

  • A HNC in Mechanical/Electrical engineering or equivalent experience 
  • Knowledge of industrial power tools i.e. Pneumatic, Battery and DC
  • Knowledge of either a manufacturing or customer service environment
  • Network infastructure knowledge
  • Experience of PLC's and line control systems

Job location

You will be field based covering UK wide. You will be remote with a dedictated territory.
