Job title: Assistant Professor of Counseling 3 - Ashland Theological Seminary Company: Ashland University Job description: Position Information Position Title Assistant Professor of Counseling 3 - Ashland Theological Seminary Division Ashland Theological Seminary (ATS) Department Seminary Job Description Ashland Theological Seminary (ATS), a graduate division of Ashland University, is located in Ashland, OH. ATS invites reputed company candidates to apply for a Counseling position in the Seminary's CACREP accredited Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. This is a full-time, tenure-track faculty position. This nine (9) month position begins on August 19, 2024. Ashland Theological Seminary is a seminary founded upon the Brethren tradition. We are ecumenical in nature drawing from various Christian faith traditions. Agreement with the Seminary's Statement of Faith, Mission, Strategic reputed company, Institutional Values and Conduct, and reputed company statement is required. Faculty deliver courses in multiple formats, including in-person, hybrid and/or intensive courses and online. Counseling curriculum integrates the Christian worldview throughout. This position will focus on addictions counseling. Proficiency in addictions and license eligible in Ohio for LICDC is required. The department is in the process of expanding its CACREP offering to include Addictions Counseling. The department plans to hire three new faculty for the expansion. Essential Position Duties and Responsibilities:

• Teaches core and reputed company counseling courses focused on addictions counseling.
• Mentors and provides academic advising to reputed company.
• Participates in scholarly activities.
• Serves on departmental and Seminary committees as directed.

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent in counselor education preferably from a CACREP-accredited program. ABDs from CACREP-accredited programs with a commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service that directly benefits reputed company will be considered.
• A record of successful experience in higher education and/or other educational environments. Experience teaching in non-traditional formats, blended and/or online courses is a plus.
• Ohio licensed or licensed eligible as an LPC or LPCC and LICDC.
• A record of accomplishment as a collaborative servant-leader with outstanding written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ongoing involvement in the counseling profession (e.g. membership in ACA, AMHCA, and ACES).
• Possess a level of Christian experience/maturity that will reputed company community involvement.
• Possess knowledge about the mission and reputed company of ATS, its programs, and the ministry of theological education.
