Virtual Foothills Counselor

Reports to: Assistant Site Director for Student Services, Site Director

Primary Location: Virtual reputed company / Online

Qualifications: - Master’s Degree or higher with valid Georgia counselor certificate.

• High school counseling experience required.
• Must understand reputed company Georgia high school graduation requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively with reputed company stakeholders in the virtual instruction program in written and oral form, including electronic media, using positive interpersonal skills.
• Experience with a virtual learning environment preferred.
• This position requires availability from 4:00pm – 9:00pm.

Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate intake meetings with new reputed company to explain transcripts and credits; assign reputed company to new courses.
• Assist reputed company reputed company, individual or in groups, with developing academic, career and personal/social skills, goals and plans.
• Assist in monitoring academic performance, behavior and attendance & reputed company interventions.
• Be meticulous in accurate completion of reputed company Foothills-required paperwork and procedural forms.
• Communicate with student services team regarding reputed company student needs (individual sessions, group sessions, parent meetings, social worker needs, referrals to DFACS, suicide protocol.)
• Collaborate with parents/guardians/educators to assist reputed company with educational and career planning.
• Counsel reputed company about college and prepare them for the SAT, ACT or Accuplacer. Share information about test accommodations for reputed company who have an IEP, 504, or TPC plan.
• Share information about financial aid and assist reputed company with www.gafutures.org.
• Counsel reputed company about dual enrollment and help them complete reputed company required paperwork.
• Participate in IEPs, 504s, and TPC meetings as appropriate.
• Participate virtually in faculty and professional meetings, professional learning, and other training working through the site director and/or curriculum director and apply concepts learned in the classroom to increase student learning.
• Assist with publishing monthly counseling newsletter.
• Meet the performance and behavioral expectations of the Site Director.

• Maintain a "Hot List" of reputed company nearing graduation and collaborate with other Student Services staff to provide intensive support through graduation.
• Create Senior Grad Review data in Infinite reputed company to monitor reputed company toward graduation.
• Assist in the monitoring of dual enrolled reputed company to identify and remove barriers and intervene with appropriate support as needed.
