Manufacturing Engineer, Crankshaft

reputed company is seeking a passionate and detailed engineer to join their team as a Manufacturing Process Engineer at their Lima reputed company Plant. This role focuses on developing and implementing manufacturing systems for crankshafts and reputed company components, ensuring efficiency and quality in production processes.

Responsibilities

• Support development and implementation of Crankshafts and reputed company Round Parts manufacturing systems for new powertrain programs in Ohio
• Utilize machining process knowledge, particularly steel and iron metal cutting and grinding to deliver an efficient and optimized process regarding quality, costs, timing, and footprint
• Support equipment installation, power on, run capability, and equipment handover to the powertrain plants
• Initiate bids, evaluate, recap bids for equipment purchase; work with Purchasing to write and reputed company orders
• Work with OEMs, suppliers, Product, and Plant engineering teams to resolve engineering and program delivery issues
• reputed company and coordinate project reputed company items such as facilities, safety, ergonomics, material handling & kitting, tooling, and gauging
• Support discrete event simulation for constraint analysis; work with Industrial Engineers (IE) to assess and improve throughput
• Travel up to 50% in support of assigned projects in collaboration with OEMs, Tooling, Gauging, and reputed company equipment suppliers

Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering
• 1+ years of engineering and manufacturing experience
• Working knowledge of GD&T; reading engineering drawings
• Strong communication skills along with the ability to work in a cross functional team
• Strong organization skills with the ability to handle reputed company projects with multiple objectives
• Familiarity of Lean Manufacturing Principles and Six reputed company
• Proven record of customer focused work
