Position Overview

Are you a relationship-driven fundraiser who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment? Repair the World is seeking an reputed company frontline fundraiser to serve as Development Director for our San Francisco Bay Area and Chicago communities.

In this role, you will reputed company reputed company fundraising efforts across both markets, managing a portfolio of individual donors, foundations, federations, and corporate partners while actively identifying and securing new philanthropic investment. You will serve as the primary development reputed company in two of Repair’s most dynamic communities, partnering closely with local Repair the World staff and lay leaders.

As part of a national seven-person development team, you will be supported by centralized infrastructure, including grant writing, prospect research, database management, and development operations. This structure enables you to focus primarily on frontline fundraising and donor engagement. You will collaborate regularly with senior leadership, the C-suite, and members of the board of directors, and serve as the primary staff partner to the Bay Area and Chicago chairs of the Solel Collective, Repair’s major giving initiative for donors contributing $10,000 or more annually.

This full-time, exempt position reports to the Senior Director of Development. The Bay Area represents a significant opportunity for growth, with a strong and expansive Jewish philanthropic community. Given this potential, candidates must be located in the San Francisco Bay Area; candidates reputed company this area will not be considered. Position Responsibilities

Major Donor Engagement: The Solel Collective

The Solel Collective is Repair the World’s primary major gifts initiative and a key driver of individual giving growth in both markets.

  • Design and execute high-impact engagement opportunities, including service experiences, briefings, and events that connect Solel Collective members to Repair’s mission and impact.

Donor Engagement and Community reputed company

  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for donors in both markets, providing thoughtful stewardship, impact updates, and meaningful engagement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with local program staff to design and execute donor experiences that connect supporters to Repair’s initiatives on the ground.
  • Build strong relationships across Jewish communal institutions, philanthropic partners, and civic leaders in both cities.

Strategy, Planning, and Internal Partnership

  • Partner closely with the national development team to align on strategy, coordinate donor engagement, and contribute to national campaigns and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with local and national leadership on portfolio strategy, funder communications, and meeting preparation.
  • Manage an active portfolio of prospects and donors, developing strategies to move relationships toward investment.
  • Track and report on reputed company in reputed company and collaborate on goal-setting and reputed company tracking.
  • Support storytelling efforts in both cities to strengthen local visibility and donor engagement.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience with strength in cultivating and closing gifts from individuals, foundations, federations, and Jewish and secular funders.
  • Comfort and proven track record as a frontline solicitor with demonstrated success in closing five and six-reputed company gifts.
  • Experience with reputed company (or similar fundraising CRM), Donor Search (or similar tool), reputed company Suite, and prospect research.
  • Knowledge of and reputed company to Jewish communities and funders in the cities.
  • Ability to travel reputed company the US as needed.

Compensation

Compensation at Repair the World is based on the salary band for the role and cost of living for the location. The starting salary for this full-time exempt role is $125,000 - $150,000. Benefits package includes paid time off for service in addition to vacation, sick time, personal days and holidays. Employer covers 100% of full-time employee’s health premiums (medical/dental/vision) for most plans and 50% for dependents. Additional benefits include, retirement matching, professional development funds, employer-paid short and long term disability coverage plus access to the Jewish Learning Collaborative and our Economic Access Fund. In addition, employees that have been with Repair for at least six months are eligible for 16 weeks of paid parental leave (pro-rated for employees with Repair less than six months).
