Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Customer Service and Support Representative to join our Supply Center team. As a critical role in our organization, you'll be responsible for serving and supporting our customers through exceptional customer service, product knowledge, and consultative selling skills. Key Responsibilities

* Deliver exceptional customer service by responding to customer needs thoroughly, accurately, and in a timely manner

  • Develop and maintain a high level of product knowledge to effectively support customers
  • Field and resolve customer issues and questions in a professional and courteous manner
  • Perform inside sales duties as needed, including quoting, ordering, and scheduling product deliveries
  • Establish, develop, and service new customer accounts to drive business growth
  • Utilize consultative selling skills to identify customer needs and provide solutions
  • Accurately enter customer orders and maintain accurate records
  • Operate in a safe manner and maintain a safe work environment
  • Support the Supply Center team in achieving overall business goals and objectives
  • Perform other duties as necessary to ensure the success of the team and the organization

Requirements

* Ability to multi-task and make business decisions in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technology
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, talk, and listen for extended periods
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with forklifts present

Preferred Qualifications

* College degree preferred

  • 2+ years' experience in a retail/wholesale environment with a demonstrated success working with customers
  • Microsoft Excel, Office, and Outlook experience
  • General knowledge of the building industry preferred but not required

Work Environment

* The atmosphere is that of a warehouse environment and office space

  • This position will primarily work in a facility where forklifts are present
  • Employees must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) issued for the branch location
  • Temperature can range from extreme cold to extreme heat
  • Frequent use of company communication devices, such as a computer, cell phone, and printer
