Senior Counsel, Treasury
We are searching for a talented and experienced Senior Counsel, Treasury to join our world-class team at General Electric. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution and bring your unique expertise to our company.You will be responsible for providing legal advice to the various Treasury teams; providing support with the development and negotiation of Treasury related agreements; offering guidance on a broad range of Treasury-related topics; and assisting with the development of Treasury policies and procedures.The ideal candidate for this role will have a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school, along with at least 10 years of experience in a legal position within a corporate environment, preferably with a focus on Treasury-related work. Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and counsel to the various Treasury teams
- Develop and negotiate Treasury related agreements
- Offer guidance on a broad range of Treasury-related topics
- Assist with the development of Treasury policies and procedures
- Monitor and update Treasury-related laws and regulations
- Identify and mitigate legal and compliance risks
- Manage external legal counsel relationships
- Prepare legal documents, such as contracts, memorandums, and summaries
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure compliance with legal requirements
- Provide training on relevant laws and regulations
