Title: Hotel General Manager Location: Maine - Lakes & Mountains Region Salary: $95,000-$100,000 + Onsite housing THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION. 100% ON SITE IN MAINE* Can you transform a property with a strong past into one with an even stronger future? We’re looking for a visionary General Manager to lead the transformation of a landmark full-service resort set in Maine’s breathtaking Lakes & Mountains region. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of a storied property, elevating its reputation, enhancing the guest experience, and positioning it as a must-visit destination while honoring its rich legacy. In this role, you’ll take ownership of all aspects of the resort’s operations, from accommodations and dining to recreation and guest services. You’ll set the tone for operational excellence, drive financial performance, and cultivate a high-performing, service-driven team culture.   • Take full ownership of the resort’s turnaround, restoring its position as a sought-after destination
  • Lead day-to-day operations across lodging, food and beverage, golf, recreation, and guest services with a focus on consistency and quality
  • Drive revenue and occupancy growth by partnering with sales and marketing to rebuild demand and strengthen market positioning
  • Collaborate with ownership on budgeting, payroll, and capital planning to align near-term execution with long-term goals
  • Rebuild, develop, and retain a high-performing team, creating a culture rooted in accountability and exceptional service
  • Enhance and modernize the guest experience while preserving the property’s character and legacy
  • Act as the public face of the resort, strengthening community ties and elevating its reputation in the market
  • Use data and performance metrics to identify opportunities, improve efficiency, and increase guest satisfaction

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Five or more years of leadership experience in resort, country club, or full-service hospitality environments
  • Demonstrated success in revitalizing underperforming or legacy properties and driving measurable improvements in performance and perception
  • Proven ability to improve results, increase revenue, and lead teams through periods of change
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
  • Comfort with hospitality systems such as PMS, POS, and distribution platforms
  • Bilingual skills are a plus, with English required and Spanish or French preferred
  • A hands-on, adaptable leadership style with a strong on-property presence and a focus on the guest experience
