Job Description
Truck Driver Nation is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Freight Dispatchers. We accept both entry-level/inexperienced candidates and experienced dispatchers. As a dispatcher, you will coordinate shipments, communicate with drivers and carriers, and ensure freight moves efficiently across the country.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate freight loads for owner-operators and carriers
- Communicate with drivers, brokers, and customers to ensure timely deliveries
- Track shipments and provide clients with real-time updates
- Problem-solve delays or issues that arise during transport
- Maintain accurate records of shipments and deliveries
Required Skills (Experience Optional for Entry-Level)
- Strong communication skills
- Basic computer literacy (email, spreadsheets, dispatching software)
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple loads simultaneously
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn the freight dispatch process (for entry-level candidates)
Preferred Skills (Experienced Dispatchers)
- Prior freight dispatch experience or trucking industry knowledge
- Familiarity with ELD systems and load boards
- Negotiation and rate confirmation with carriers and brokers
- Ability to mentor entry-level dispatchers
