Performance Creative Strategist Application Deadline: 12 June 2026 Department: Marketing Employment Type: Full Time Location: South Africa Compensation: R55,000 - R60,000 / month Description Some agencies collect clients. Growjoy grows them. They're a performance marketing agency helping a select group of clients scale through paid acquisition, creative testing, and smart strategy. Business is booming, clients are growing, and they've already built a strong remote team (including a couple of South Africans we've placed who are absolutely smashing it) You'll be analysing winning ads, coming up with new concepts, testing ideas, and helping create the campaigns that drive growth. No corporate nonsense. No waiting weeks for approvals. Just good ideas, fast execution, and a team that's obsessed with performance. The Role What you’ll own: Creative Research & Ideation Review top-performing ads and campaigns Analyse why specific ads are working Create new hooks, new angles, new avatars, new concepts, and new creative variations Monitor social media platforms, emerging trends, viral content, and creator content Analyse winning concepts on organic social media and translate them into paid advertising opportunities Continuously look for ways to adapt successful creative patterns to client campaigns Creative Production The candidate should be comfortable creating creative assets independently using AI and modern creative tools, while also working with internal design and editing resources when higher-production execution is required Responsibilities include creating ad creatives, creating static concepts, building creative variations, producing draft video concepts, adapting winning concepts quickly, and using AI tools to accelerate production The team already has specialist design and editing support available, but the ideal candidate should be comfortable creating a significant amount of creative output independently. Performance Optimisation Work closely with the media buyer to understand winning ads, performance drivers, and scaling opportunities Develop new creative concepts based on campaign performance data Analyse successful campaigns and identify opportunities for further iteration Contribute directly to increasing creative testing velocity across accounts Collaboration Present and discuss new ideas with founder, South African team, and internal design Take feedback and iterate quickly Support ongoing client growth initiatives The Person Who we’re looking for: Experience creating or contributing to paid social campaigns Experience in performance marketing agencies, ecommerce brands, DTC environments, paid social teams, or creator-led performance marketing businesses Understanding of direct-response advertising Ability to explain why an ad performs well Strong understanding of consumer psychology Familiarity with AI tools for content creation Examples of ads that have produced measurable business results Experience operating in highly competitive advertising environments
