Senior Audit Accountant - Permanent Dayshift, Remote-Philippines

PERMANENT DAYSHIFT, REMOTE/WFH-PHILIPPINES Position Title: Remote Senior Auditor / Accountant Client : Australian Audit firm Fulltime, 40 hours per week VA Rate: 9AUD (Negotiable to the right candidate) Overview: We are seeking an experienced Philippines-based finance professional to support Australian clients in a blended audit and accounting capacity. The ideal candidate will have a strong external audit background (Senior Auditor) together with practical bookkeeping and transactional accounting experience (Senior Accountant). Primary Responsibilities: Audit:
- Preparing and reviewing audit workpapers and supporting schedules
- Financial statement preparation support
- Analytical review procedures
- Lead schedules and reconciliations
- Audit file documentation
- Assisting with planning and completion stages of audit engagements
- Research accounting issues, prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to senior
management. Accounting & Finance:
- Payroll processing
- Accounts payable processing
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Journal entries
- Month-end processing
- General bookkeeping support
- Budget preparation, review and variance analysis
- Data entry and transaction processing
- Assisting with management reporting
- Ad hoc tasks

Preferred Candidate Indicators:
- Currently employed or recently employed in a professional services environment (ideally Australian audit firm)
- Existing Australian client exposure
- Prior remote work experience
- Stable internet and home office setup
- Ability to take on additional hours if needed (scale up)
Essential Experience:
- Minimum 3–5 years’ professional experience in each field
- Experience working with Australian accounting or audit firms
- Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards (AASB)
- Understanding of Australian auditing standards and audit methodology
- Experience with not-for-profit entities highly desirable
