NoteSight is seeking an experienced AP World History: Modern tutor to deliver focused, high-impact instruction to high school students preparing for one of the most writing- and analysis-heavy AP exams. You'll guide students through key historical periods, geographic regions, and the complex themes that define the course — all while building the critical thinking and exam skills needed to score a 4 or 5. Compensation: Paid per hour — competitive hourly rate SESSION FORMATS

• 1:1 Tutoring — Personalized sessions tailored to the individual student's pace, gaps, and exam timeline
• Group Tutoring — Small group sessions covering shared course content, DBQ practice, and exam strategy

───────────────────────────── KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ─────────────────────────────

• Deliver 1:1 and small group online tutoring for AP World History: Modern
• Teach key course themes including cultural exchange, state-building, economic systems, and social structures across historical periods
• Guide students through all exam components — multiple choice questions (MCQ), short-answer questions (SAQ), document-based questions (DBQ), and long essay questions (LEQ)
• Build student skills in historical argumentation, sourcing, contextualization, and corroboration
• Develop and administer practice MCQ sets to improve student accuracy, pacing, and elimination strategies
• Review and provide detailed feedback on student-written DBQs and LEQs using College Board rubrics
• Customize sessions based on each student's learning gaps, target score, and time remaining before the exam
• Track student progress and communicate updates to parents or platform coordinators as needed

REQUIREMENTS We need a tutor who knows AP World History: Modern inside and out — the periods, the themes, the rubrics, and the exam format. You should be equally comfortable coaching a student through an MCQ set as you are reviewing a DBQ draft line by line.

• 3+ years of tutoring or teaching experience in AP World History: Modern — required
• Deep familiarity with all four AP World History exam components: MCQ, SAQ, DBQ, and LEQ
• Experience with both 1:1 and group tutoring or classroom instruction
• Strong understanding of College Board course framework, scoring rubrics, and historical thinking skills
• Ability to teach historical writing skills including thesis construction, evidence use, and complex argumentation
• Comfortable working with high school students in a virtual, async-friendly environment
• Must be located in the United States or Canada
• Reliable internet connection and comfort with online tutoring platforms
• Bachelor's degree or higher in History, Social Sciences, or related field preferred; AP score of 4–5 or teaching credential a strong plus

Must be available consistently on a weekly basis. We are looking for tutors who can commit to recurring sessions and build an ongoing relationship with their students — not one-off availability.
