Founding Engineer For Profitable Start Up (Full-time or Contract)

Work from home Full-time role Hiring

About Rizzly Rizzly is an AI voice and lead-automation platform for real estate investors and home-services companies. We handle the calling, qualifying, and routing of leads at a fraction of what competitors charge. We're bootstrapped, profitable, and approaching seven figures — and almost everything you see was built by a non-technical founder using AI tooling. We're now ready to bring on our first real engineer to build the product for scale. About me (the founder) I'm David. I'm not an engineer — my background is sales and building teams that produce. I built four sales teams from the ground up, and I ran the acquisitions side of a real estate operation that sourced over $25M in property in a single year and netted $6M in profit, the most that company had ever done in a year. What I can't do is build software, and I've taken Rizzly as far as resourcefulness and AI tools can carry it. That's where you come in. What you'll do Take Rizzly from its current state to a scalable product, owning the architecture end to end. Turn business requirements into technical reality. I know exactly what we need and what it has to do, but I can't hand you detailed specs — you'll translate vision into architecture and run with it. Build and integrate the core systems: voice/telephony, lead routing, the bidding and scoring logic, automations, and the data behind them. Grow into the technical leader of the company as we scale. What I'm looking for A senior full-stack engineer who has shipped real production software, ideally as an early or first engineer somewhere. Comfort building data-driven, algorithmic logic (bidding, scoring, automated workflows). You don't need to be a research-level ML specialist, but you should be quantitatively comfortable. Strong with AI tools and able to move fast with them. Someone who understands the business, not just the code, and can operate independently without hand-holding. Above all, someone I can trust. I'd rather build with the right person than move fast with the wrong one. How we work Fully remote. I'm in Chicago. Open to either a full-time hire or a consulting arrangement for the right person. How to apply Send me a short, real note about something you've built and took from zero to shipped — I'd rather read that than a formal cover letter. If there's a fit, step one is just a 20–30 minute conversation. Not an interview, just seeing if we're aligned first! Apply To This Job
