Entry Level - Structural Bridge Designer

KPFF Consulting Engineers is an engineering design firm dedicated to innovative, sustainable engineering. They are seeking a highly motivated individual for the role of Structural Bridge Designer, which involves working on various infrastructure projects, including bridges and waterfront infrastructure, through all phases from planning to construction.

Responsibilities

• Work for a variety of public and private clients on all types of projects through planning, design, permitting and construction
• Focus on structural design on infrastructure projects, including bridges, waterfront infrastructure, and other horizontal construction projects on the West Coast region
• Collaborate frequently with all layers of the organization, from interns to Principals
• Participate in social events, educational programs, and technical training
• Engage in professional growth, learning, and teaching opportunities

Skills

• B.S. in Civil Engineering (with a structural emphasis)
• EIT is required
• Concrete, steel, and timber coursework and/or design experience
• Pre-stressed concrete and seismic coursework and/or design experience
• Familiarity with non-linear analysis
• Ability to work dynamically with clients and project team members
• M.S in Civil Engineering preferred (with a structural emphasis)
