UCSF Health is dedicated to providing integrated medical and psychiatric services, and they are seeking a Research Data Analyst to support the Public Psychiatry Fellowship. The role involves gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data for research projects, assisting with administrative tasks, and collaborating with faculty and fellows on manuscripts and presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Under direct supervision, assist in the collection and organization of research data for PPF projects. Complete IRB and regulatory applications; conduct literature reviews; prepare figures for data visualization; perform basic statistical analysis. Assist with the development of the UCSF Public Psychiatry Fellowship (PPF) surveys; distribute survey(s) and maintain databases; perform statistical analysis and summary of results. Develops knowledge in the areas of data storage, documentation, analysis, and dissemination of data
  • Work with faculty and fellows to draft, edit, and submit abstracts, posters, and manuscripts (writing is a key skill)
  • Provide administrative support to the fellowship, including preparation of handouts; IT set-up for presentations; act as liaison to clinic sites in preparing data use agreements and other regulatory documentation for research projects; maintain and update CLE and PPF recruitment website in accordance with UCSF digital and editorial policies and UCSF brand identity standards as posted at identity.ucsf.edu; scheduling for PPF director; scheduling/coordinating PPF speakers and events

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in public health, psychology, sociology, epidemiology or related area; and / or equivalent experience / training
  • College coursework in public health, psychology, or related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills; excellent organizational skills; and excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively in a diverse team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work effectively in team-based environment; ability to prioritize tasks and meet multiple deadlines
  • Excellent academic writing and editing skills
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis software (i.e. Stata; SPSS; R; etc.)
  • Ability to work with and troubleshoot A/V hardware and software
  • Ability to work with electronic data collection tools (i.e. REDcap; Qualtrics; Survey Monkey)
  • Knowledge of design software (i.e. Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator; Power Point; etc.)
