The North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is seeking a Business Analyst 1 to support the technical and business needs of statewide driver and vehicle systems. This role involves performing analytical tasks, system analysis, process documentation, and stakeholder communication to ensure system enhancements function correctly.

Responsibilities

  • Review functions and assess operational needs for Driver Licensing and Motor Vehicle systems
  • Record changes to processes and capture business requirements for updates
  • Develop and assess testing plans to confirm system enhancements function correctly
  • Provide clear updates to business areas, contractors, and management teams
  • Investigate reported system issues and determine workable solutions or improvements
  • Guide staff on procedures and offer support for system related questions

Skills

  • A bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree
  • You must meet the PA residency requirement
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions
  • A conditional offer of employment will require submission of criminal history reports
  • This position requires the selected candidate to undergo and pass a Fingerprint and Name-Based Criminal History Check prior to employment
