Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Invisible Technologies is seeking a Japanese language expert to contribute to the development of AI language models. The role involves engaging with advanced language models to enhance their linguistic capabilities and ensure their accuracy in various scenarios.

Responsibilities

  • Converse with the model on language scenarios
  • Verify factual accuracy and logical soundness
  • Capture reproducible error traces
  • Suggest improvements to our prompt engineering and evaluation metrics

Skills

  • Expertise in Japanese grammar, syntax, morphology, kanji, hiragana, katakana, phonology, and pragmatics
  • Ability to challenge advanced language models on topics like verb conjugation, sentence structure, honorifics, formal and informal speech, regional dialects, kanji readings, and the nuances of Japanese writing systems
  • Experience in documenting failure modes to improve model reasoning
  • A degree in Japanese language, linguistics, or a closely related field
  • Peer-reviewed publications, teaching experience, or hands-on linguistic analysis projects
  • Clear, metacognitive communication skills
