Jr Product Manager

Connecticut Innovations is Connecticut’s strategic venture capital arm, dedicated to serving a diverse portfolio of over 220 companies. They are seeking a Jr. Product Manager to work closely with executives on business strategy, product management, and analytics, leading cross-functional projects and making impactful decisions for the organization.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with CITO and Directors to lead the execution of key cross functional business initiatives, working efficiently across organization lines
• Manage tech workstreams and run weekly tech meetings to ensure activities stay on track
• Assist in developing, leading, and implementing strategic and operational initiatives and projects to enhance revenue growth and / or improve operating margins
• Communicate and present findings to CITO
• Define and report on both key metrics and user data to measure the performance of our operations and inform data driven decision making
• Perform ad hoc research (prospecting, conference preparation, business needs, etc.) to ensure accuracy as well as providing in-depth knowledge and context for decision making
• Work with external firms during prospecting and implementation to accelerate partnerships and ensure quick and accurate communication with key stakeholders
• Performs other duties and projects as assigned

Skills

• BA required
• 1-3 years of product management experience
• Strong mathematical background
• Track record of using analytics to support decision-making, with the ability to dig deep into data and identify the right insights
• Working in the financial services or insurance industries preferred
• Previous experience working in a venture-backed, start-up preferred
