The Role: Data Investigation Specialist III

As a Data Investigation Specialist III at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in pioneering impromptu product analysis and building foundational data answers to better understand customer behaviors and market trends. You will support the Product Management team in expanding our suite of customer-centered products by identifying and evaluating new product opportunities and proposing flexible solutions.

In this position, you will have access to boundless global data to conduct in-depth analysis. You will be empowered to influence decisions that impact how businesses make choices while making an effect at an extraordinary scale. You will be part of a larger team – "Know Your Customer" – and work closely with our partners across various product groups, including Technology, Data Management, and numerous other product teams.

What You'll Do

• Data Cleaning and Preparation: Clean and prepare data for analysis by removing errors, identifying exceptions, and transforming data into a format that can be effectively analyzed. You'll be responsible for ensuring data integrity and accuracy throughout the analytical process.
• Data Exploration and Analysis: Investigate data and research it for insights using statistical methods to test hypotheses, identify trends, and make predictions. You'll apply rigorous analytical techniques to extract meaningful patterns from complex datasets.
• Programming and Automation: Develop programming solutions, particularly using Python, to automate data processing workflows and create reusable analytical frameworks that improve team efficiency.
• Logical Decision-Making: Approach problems logically and make informed decisions based on data evidence. You'll be expected to demonstrate strong reasoning abilities and sound judgment in ambiguous situations.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure accuracy in data analysis with meticulous attention to detail, recognizing irregularities or errors in data that could potentially impact business decisions.
• Insight Communication: Clearly communicate findings, both in writing and orally, to non-technical stakeholders. This includes creating dashboards and reports that convey insights to partners using tools like Power BI, Tableau, and Excel.

Essential Qualifications

• Strong Exploratory Data Analysis Abilities: You must have strong exploratory data analysis skills and the ability to make insightful, data-driven proposals and solutions. This includes proficiency in descriptive and inferential statistics.
• Technical Proficiency: You are knowledgeable about languages used to manipulate data and draw insights from large datasets, including SQL, Python, and similar technologies. Experience with database management systems is required.
• Data Quality Support: You have experience providing end-user support and investigating for Data Quality issues, demonstrating your commitment to data accuracy and reliability.
• Industry Experience: You have related experience in the retail or finance industry sectors, giving you context for understanding business requirements and customer needs.
• Communication Skills: You have persuasive, influential oral and written communication skills and can build strong functional relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Adaptability: You are comfortable with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment and can effectively manage multiple concurrent projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or cloud-based data platforms
