Position Overview

The Customer Support Associate role at arenaflex is an entry‑level, full‑time position based in Virginia, USA. You will be the first point of contact for shoppers, handling transactions, answering questions, and ensuring that every interaction reflects arenaflex’s commitment to excellence. Key Responsibilities

Front‑Line Guest Interaction

  • Resolve guest concerns promptly, escalating complex issues to the shift supervisor when necessary.

Transaction Management

  • Operate the point‑of‑sale (POS) system accurately, scanning items, processing cash, credit, and digital payments, and issuing correct change.
  • Handle returns, exchanges, voids, discounts, and special promotions in accordance with arenaxflex policies.
  • Ensure compliance with state and local regulations for restricted items such as alcohol and tobacco.
  • Balance cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift, reporting any discrepancies immediately.

Merchandising & Stock Control

  • Keep checkout lanes, aisles, and the overall store environment clean, organized, and well‑stocked.
  • Participate in inventory counts, receive shipments, and restock shelves using the “first‑in, first‑out” (FIFO) method.
  • Assist with planogram execution, promotional displays, and seasonal merchandising initiatives.
  • Monitor product expiration dates and remove outdated items from the sales floor.

Loss Prevention & Compliance

  • Follow arenaflex’s loss‑prevention procedures to identify and deter potential theft or fraud.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, including proper handling of hazardous materials and emergency response guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of transactions, inventory adjustments, and incident reports.

Team Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Share best practices with teammates to elevate the overall guest experience.
  • Participate in scheduled training sessions, online learning modules, and on‑the‑job coaching.
  • Contribute ideas for process enhancements, store layout improvements, and service innovations.
  • Complete additional tasks and special projects as assigned by management.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (any discipline) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Communication: Strong proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
