Position Overview

arenaflex is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Customer Service Professional to join our remote team in a part-time capacity. This is an exciting opportunity to become an ambassador for our brand while helping travelers navigate their journey with ease and confidence. As a member of our customer service team, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining arenaflex's reputation for outstanding service and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service Representative Functions

  • Serve as the first point of contact for arenaflex customers, providing warm and professional greeting to all travelers
  • Guide and assist customers with the ticketing and baggage registration process
  • Utilize computer systems to efficiently sell, print, and reissue travel tickets
  • Manage the check-in process, ensuring customers have proper documentation for travel
  • Label baggage and perform lifting tasks involving moving baggage from scales to conveyor systems
  • Handle baggage at various heights, from floor level to waist level
  • Practice security-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures

Gate Specialist Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with routing, trip planning, and gate boarding
  • Use computer systems to check seat availability, make gate announcements regarding boarding processes, and provide flight status updates
  • Manage and handle baggage for customers
  • Operate jet bridges to position aircraft for boarding before arrival and handle lifting, opening, closing, and securing aircraft doors
  • Maintain security-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures

Baggage Control/Ramp Management

  • Safely lift, load, unload, and transport baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft
  • Ensure on-time connections by directing incoming and departing aircraft from gate positions
  • Protect baggage, cargo, and mail from damage, loss, and weather elements
  • Safely drive and operate ground equipment like tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in congested areas
  • Repeatedly lift and load baggage onto trucks, ensuring each bag reaches its destination
  • Operate baggage scanners and computer systems to ensure items and cargo are routed correctly to the traveler's destination
  • Maintain security-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures

Qualifications and Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security for self and others
  • Embraces diversity in people, thinking, and work styles
  • Ability to frequently lift baggage or items weighing up to 80 pounds
  • Authorized to live and work in the country you are applying to
  • Basic computer skills with ability to learn proprietary systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills using appropriate language, tone, and pronunciation
  • Ability to work a fixed and/or rotating schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior customer service experience in the travel or hospitality industry
  • Experience with ticketing systems and reservation platforms
  • Knowledge of airport operations and procedures
  • Ability to speak additional languages beyond English
  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
