About the Role

As an Enterprise Security Customer Engineer at arenaflex, you will play a pivotal role in growing our cybersecurity business by building and expanding relationships with enterprise customers. You will serve as a trusted technical advisor and advocate for our comprehensive security solutions, providing expert guidance to C-level executives, security leaders, enterprise architects, and analysts to drive projects forward and achieve measurable outcomes.

In this role, you will accompany customers throughout their technology discovery journey, consult on the best approaches to secure their infrastructure, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. You will optimize solutions for production environments, lead with empathy and expertise, and identify innovative ways to multiply your impact and the impact of the entire arenaflex security team. Key Responsibilities

As an Enterprise Security Customer Engineer, you will be responsible for driving technical success and customer satisfaction across our security portfolio. Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Business Development Support: Work collaboratively with Security Sales teams and arenaflex Cloud teams to identify and qualify business opportunities. Understand customer technical requirements and compliance objections, and develop comprehensive strategies to resolve technical blockers and accelerate sales cycles.
  • Technical Solution Leadership: Demonstrate and validate the benefits of all arenaflex Security products in customer and partner environments. Maintain exceptional technical knowledge of our security portfolio, including threat detection, malware intelligence, cloud security posture management, identity and access management systems, and emerging security solutions.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Support arenaflex Security opportunities and relationships. Own the technical aspects of solutions from inception through implementation, and deliver compelling technical presentations, product and solution briefings, proofs-of-concepts, and interactive demonstrations to customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Technical Advisory Services: Serve as a trusted advisor to customers throughout their security transformation journey. Consult on architecture, implementation best practices, and integration strategies. Help customers navigate complex security challenges and achieve their business objectives through effective technology deployment.
  • Thought Leadership: Prepare and deliver product messaging that effectively highlights our solutions' value proposition. Utilize a variety of techniques including presentations, product demonstrations, white papers, trial management programs, and response documents to drive customer engagement and adoption.
  • Technical Enablement: Create and maintain technical documentation, solution guides, and best practices resources. Contribute to internal knowledge bases and enablement materials to support team growth and expertise development.
  • Travel and Field Engagement: Travel to customer sites, industry conferences, and related events as needed (up to 50% travel) to build relationships, deliver solutions, and represent arenaflex at key industry events.

Essential Qualifications

We are seeking candidates who combine deep technical expertise with strong interpersonal skills. The following qualifications are required for this position:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience. We value diverse educational backgrounds and will consider candidates with equivalent demonstrated expertise.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in a technical sales engineering role in security or cloud-native environments. This experience should include direct customer engagement, solution selling, and technical advisory services.
  • Cybersecurity Expertise: Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity domains including threat detection and intelligence, malware analysis, cloud security posture management, or identity and access management systems. You should have a strong understanding of the cybersecurity threat landscape and defense-in-depth strategies.
  • Travel Capability: Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to customer sites, conferences, and industry events. Travel is essential for building relationships and delivering solutions in person.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Education: Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field. Advanced education demonstrates deep technical capability and intellectual curiosity.
  • Industry Certifications: Certification in Cloud or Security industries such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, AWS Security Specialty, or GCP Professional Security certifications. Certifications validate your expertise and commitment to professional development.
  • Enterprise Security Implementation: Experience implementing security solutions for large enterprises, including threat detection and hunting programs, malware intelligence operations, cloud security posture management, or identity and access management systems at scale.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of product and solution market trends in the cybersecurity industry, including ransomware defense, attack frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK), zero trust architecture, extended detection and response (XDR), and cloud-native security strategies.
  • Public Speaking Excellence: Experience speaking publicly and delivering technical presentations to diverse audiences. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and compellingly.
  • Exceptional Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, communication skills, presentation capabilities, and active listening skills. You must be able to connect with technical and business stakeholders at all levels.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base Salary: Competitive base salary commensurate with experience, skills, and location. The US base salary range for this position is $139,000-$213,000 per year.

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position across all US locations.
