Panel Drafter

Summary

Performs updates to existing panel design drawings from markups and comments from designers, project team or customer while maintaining company and customer standards. Purpose Assist with most aspects of panel design projects by working with Designers, project team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Read s and interpret s customer diagrams and documentation and communicate s with project team to understand objectives and preferences .
  • Confer with engineering staff, manufacturing staff and other personnel to resolve problems.
  • Performs panel power and heat calculations .
  • Performs updates to panel layout and detail drawings based on markups in accordance with company and customer standards.
  • Performs updates to PLC module and electrical drawings based on markups in accordance with company and customer standards.
  • Performs self and peer review checks of panel drawings .

Qualifications

Education/Experience High School Diploma and AutoCAD training and/or experience . Language Ability R ead, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedure s, or governmental regulations. W rite reports, business corres pondence, and procedure manuals. E ffectively present information and respond to questions f rom c ustomers, vendors, project managers, and co-workers . Math Ability W ork with mathematical concepts such as basic math, algebra and geometry . A pply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability D efine problems, collect data, establish facts, and dra w valid conclusions. I nterpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Computer Skills An u nderstanding of AutoCAD , MS Of fice (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint), Documentation Software: Adobe Pro Certificates And Licenses No certifications are needed . Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
