Position Overview

We are hiring Remote Pharmacy Technicians and Data Entry Specialists to support our pharmacy operations. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately processing prescriptions, maintaining patient records, supporting pharmacists with clinical operations, and delivering outstanding service to patients and customers. You will work from a secure home office setup while remaining fully integrated into a collaborative, supportive team environment.

This is a full-time position with consistent 8-hour work shifts, offering a salary of $75,000 per year, plus a comprehensive benefits package. Key Responsibilities

  • Prescription Processing: Accurately enter patient and prescription data into pharmacy systems, ensuring all information is complete, correct, and compliant with state and federal regulations.
  • Patient Interaction: Serve as a friendly, knowledgeable point of contact for patients and customers, greeting them warmly, answering questions, resolving concerns, and ensuring a positive experience with every interaction.
  • Pharmacist Support: Work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to assist with the practice of pharmacy, including preparing medications, counting and pouring pharmaceutical products, and verifying accuracy.
  • Data Integrity: Maintain the highest standards of data accuracy across all patient and prescription records, flagging potential drug interactions and reporting prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty in accordance with company policy.
  • Insurance and Claims: Process and resubmit manual claims for third-party prescription programs in a timely and efficient manner, performing additional clerical duties as needed.
  • Inventory Support: Assist with stock management activities, including ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing prescription drug shipments. Document any discrepancies such as overages, shortages, or damaged goods.
  • Clinical Coordination: Support pharmacists in coordinating clinical services, including the proper labeling and handling of lab samples, and assist with outreach to local healthcare providers, retirement communities, and nursing facilities.
  • Workplace Standards: Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work environment, comply with all company policies and procedures, and contribute to a respectful, collaborative team culture.
  • Training and Mentorship: If you hold Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification, you may assist in coaching fellow technicians and cashiers on the proper operation of pharmacy systems and cash registers.

What We Are Looking For: Basic Qualifications

  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (required for all U.S. locations).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in data entry and prescription processing.
  • Reliable internet connection and a dedicated, distraction-free home workspace.
  • Ability to pass a background check and any required state-level pharmacy technician registration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Six months or more of experience in a retail pharmacy environment.
  • Prior work experience with a major pharmacy or healthcare retailer.
  • Solid mathematical skills, including the ability to count, measure, and weigh medications accurately.
  • Comfort with computers, pharmacy management systems, and standard office software.
  • Familiarity with store inventory management processes.
  • Current PTCB Certification (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board).
