Joining arenaflex means becoming part of a forward‑thinking community that values curiosity, collaboration, and the relentless pursuit of excellence.

Why This Role Matters

The Senior Data Analyst – IT position sits at the heart of arenaflex’s Digital Innovation team. In this role, you will translate massive streams of operational and customer data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions, improve system performance, and enhance the overall passenger journey. Your analytical expertise will help shape the next generation of data‑powered applications, ensuring arenaflex remains a leader in the aviation industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines that ingest, cleanse, and transform data from multiple sources, including flight operations, reservation systems, and customer feedback platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—Technology, Customer Experience, Revenue Management, and Safety—to understand business challenges and translate them into analytical solutions.
  • Build interactive dashboards and visualizations (Power BI, Tableau, Tibco Spotfire) that surface key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on‑time performance, load factor, revenue per seat, and incident trends.
  • Conduct deep‑dive analyses to identify root causes of system inefficiencies, error patterns, and performance bottlenecks, recommending data‑driven process improvements.
  • Partner with US and India Data Center teams to ensure data consistency, reliability, and security across global environments.
  • Lead the creation of data models that support predictive analytics, forecasting, and scenario planning for both short‑term operational decisions and long‑term strategic initiatives.
  • Document analytical methodologies, data lineage, and reporting standards to promote transparency and reproducibility.
  • Mentor junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the analytics community.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies (e.g., AWS Redshift, Athena, Snowflake, Palantir Foundry) and recommend adoption where they add measurable value.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands‑on data analysis, business intelligence, or data engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a Fortune 500 or similarly complex environment.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in SQL (both relational and NoSQL), data modeling, and ETL processes. Demonstrated expertise with BI tools such as Power BI, Tibco Spotfire, or Tableau.
  • Domain Knowledge: Proven track record analyzing large‑scale business platforms (web, mobile, SaaS) and translating findings into operational improvements.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Master’s degree or MBA with a focus on analytics, data science, or aviation management.
  • Certifications such as Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate, AWS Certified Data Analytics, or Power BI Data Analyst Associate.
  • Experience with cloud data warehouses (AWS Redshift, Snowflake) and big‑data processing frameworks (Spark, Hadoop).
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like DataDog, AppDynamics, or Kibana for performance tracking.
  • Hands‑on experience with Palantir Foundry, Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, or similar enterprise analytics platforms.
  • Background in the airline or travel industry, providing insight into operational nuances and regulatory considerations.
  • Leadership experience managing a team of analysts or data engineers, including project planning and stakeholder alignment.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to dissect complex datasets, identify patterns, and propose data‑driven solutions.
  • Problem‑Solving: Creative approach to troubleshooting system errors, performance issues, and business process gaps.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with engineers, product owners, business leaders, and external partners.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable navigating a fast‑paced, globally distributed environment with shifting priorities.
  • Detail Orientation: Meticulous attention to data quality, documentation, and reporting accuracy.
