[Remote] Scrum Master
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. VistalTech Inc is seeking a Scrum Master to lead Agile practices for one or more Scrum teams. The role focuses on servant leadership and continuous improvement to ensure high-quality software delivery while fostering Agile maturity across teams.
Responsibilities
- Serve and support the Product Owner and Development Team to maximize value delivery and customer satisfaction
- Act as a servant leader, modeling Agile and Scrum principles
- Coach teams and stakeholders on Agile/Scrum practices, values, and frameworks
- Guide teams in self‑organization and accountability to improve delivery outcomes
- Assess Agile and Scrum maturity and support sustainable improvements
- Identify, remove, or help resolve impediments impacting team progress
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, team discussions, decision‑making, and conflict resolution
- Foster a safe, trusting environment that encourages transparency and continuous improvement
- Improve communication and visibility across teams and stakeholders
- Support Product Owners with backlog refinement and prioritization
- Contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives as assigned
Skills
- Bachelor's degree from a four‑year college or university, or equivalent experience
- 1–2 years of related experience in Agile or Scrum environments
- First‑level Scrum Master certification (CSM or PSM I) required
- Experience serving as a Scrum Master for a software development team
- Strong skills in servant leadership, facilitation, coaching, and conflict resolution
- Solid understanding of Scrum principles and the ability to distinguish Scrum from non‑Scrum practices
- Proven ability to improve team effectiveness and transparency
- Advanced Scrum certification (PSM II, CSP)
- Experience supporting multiple Scrum teams in varying environments (team size, organization, distributed vs. co‑located)
- Ongoing education in Scrum and Agile practices (training, conferences, self‑study)
- Experience using Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS)
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks such as Kanban, XP, Crystal, and FDD
- Experience with Agile techniques including user stories, TDD/ATDD, CI/CD, automated testing, and retrospectives
- Knowledge of Agile metrics, burndown techniques, and continuous improvement practices
