Associate Attorney
Ganan & Shapiro, P.C. is a law firm specializing in workers' compensation defense and related legal services. The Associate Attorney will manage legal cases, conduct research, prepare documents, and represent clients in various legal proceedings.
Responsibilities
- Handle legal cases related to workers' compensation
- Perform detailed legal research
- Prepare legal documents
- Provide relevant legal advice to clients
- Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and hearings
- Work closely with the legal team to achieve favorable outcomes
Skills
- 1-3 years of experience
- Proficiency in Law, including a strong understanding of legal principles and processes
- Experience in Labor and Employment Law and handling workers' compensation cases
- Ability to provide sound Legal Advice and effectively advocate for clients
- Strong Research and analytical skills to support case preparation
- Expertise in Negotiation to resolve disputes and reach agreements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active bar license in the state of Illinois required. Candidates who are not currently admitted to the Illinois bar will not be considered for this position
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Previous experience in a defense firm or relevant legal field is a plus
