Key Responsibilities

  • Own Brand Reporting & Analysis: Lead the end‑to‑end reporting cycle for arenaflex’s private‑label (Own Brand) items, delivering daily, weekly, and monthly recaps that inform senior leadership.
  • Item‑Level Historical Review: Conduct deep‑dive analyses of historical sales, sell‑through, and profitability metrics for thousands of SKU‑level items.
  • Future Forecasting: Build and maintain forward‑looking forecasts that incorporate demand patterns, promotional calendars, and market trends.
  • Data Synthesis & Storytelling: Transform large, complex data sets into concise, executive‑ready presentations that highlight key insights and recommendations.
  • Tool Development in Excel: Design, refine, and automate sophisticated Excel models—including macros, pivot tables, and advanced formulas—to streamline reporting processes.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with Merchandising, Planning, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and data integrity across the organization.
  • Ad‑Hoc Analysis: Respond quickly to business‑driven requests, delivering custom analyses that support strategic initiatives and operational decisions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance data quality, reporting efficiency, and analytical rigor, championing best practices throughout the team.

Essential Qualifications

  • Experience: 3–5 years of professional experience in data analytics, financial analysis, merchandising, or a comparable role within a retail environment.
  • Retail Merchandising Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of category management, assortment planning, and the organizational structures that drive merchandising decisions.
  • Advanced Excel Proficiency: Mastery of functions such as SUMIFS, VLOOKUP/HLOOKUP, pivot tables, array formulas, and macro development; ability to build robust analytical models.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with a track record of delivering clear, compelling presentations in PowerPoint.
  • Analytical Acumen: Proven problem‑solving capabilities, quantitative reasoning, and the talent to translate numbers into narratives that influence business strategy.
  • Time Management: Ability to juggle multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and work independently in a fully remote setting.

Preferred (Nice‑to‑Have) Qualifications

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or a graduate degree in a quantitative discipline (STEM).
  • Experience with data‑science tools or programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • Background in retail operations, especially within the fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) or pharmacy sectors.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Access, Power Query, or other data‑integration platforms.
  • Exposure to statistical forecasting techniques and inventory optimization models.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Data Storytelling: Ability to craft narratives that make complex data accessible to non‑technical audiences.
  • Detail Orientation: Meticulous attention to data accuracy, consistency, and presentation quality.
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills for building effective relationships with cross‑functional partners.
  • Adaptability: Comfort with shifting priorities and evolving business needs in a dynamic retail environment.
