AWS Cloud Engineer - W2 Only, NO 3rd Party
Role AWS Cloud Engineer Location Remote; Candidates must be in Detroit MI Duration 6 - 12 months Contract Pay Rate $65-75/hour on W2, Client will not consider C2C Job Summary The AWS Cloud Engineering role is a hands-on technical position focused on day-to-day cloud platform operations including AWS account lifecycle management, infrastructure provisioning, compute pipeline management, security controls enforcement, and operational support. The hours include on-call rotation.
Responsibilities
Infrastructure Operations & Account Lifecycle, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Security & Compliance, Monitoring, Cost Management & Operational Support Required skills
- Extensive hands-on experience in AWS cloud infrastructure engineering
- Terraform (HCL) and IaC lifecycle management
- AWS core services VPC, EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, IAM, etc.
- Experience operating multi-account AWS environments using AWS Organizations and SCPs
- Proficiency in IAM policy design, cross-account access patterns, and least-privilege principles
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Terraform Cloud, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent)
