This fully remote position is perfect for a mortgage lending professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys member interaction, and takes pride in delivering accurate, compliant, and timely loan processing services.

In this role, you will serve as a critical link between our members and their financial aspirations, processing home equity loan applications from initial setup through closing. You will work directly with members, providing them with clear disclosures, explaining loan terms, and ensuring every step of the process meets regulatory requirements while delivering an exceptional member experience. Your contributions will directly support the financial dreams of thousands of families while advancing your own career in the lending industry.

Key Responsibilities

As a Home Equity Loan Processor at arenaflex, your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass a comprehensive range of loan processing functions:

  • Loan File Setup and Disclosure Management: Initiate and configure home equity loan files within our lending systems, ensuring all required disclosures are generated and delivered to members in accordance with federal and state regulations. Communicate loan terms, conditions, and requirements clearly and professionally to applicants.
  • Pipeline Review and Management: Conduct daily reviews of the home equity loan pipeline to identify files requiring attention, monitor progress against established timelines, and proactively address potential delays or issues that could impact closing dates.
  • Closing Documentation Processing: Prepare, review, and process all closing documents for home equity loans, ensuring accuracy of legal descriptions, loan amounts, interest rates, and member information. Coordinate with title companies, attorneys, and members to facilitate smooth closing transactions.
  • Property Condition Report Processing: Review and process property condition reports, coordinating with appraisers and inspection services to ensure properties meet lending requirements and collateral standards.
  • Verification of Work Documentation: Process Verification of Employment (VOE) and Verification of Work documents for home equity loan applicants, confirming income, employment status, and job stability as required by underwriting guidelines.
  • Loan Booking and Funding: Perform accurate booking of approved home equity loans into the core banking system, ensuring all data fields are completed correctly and loan parameters are properly established for servicing.
  • Data Entry and Reporting: Input home equity loan data into daily Excel spreadsheets and reporting tools, maintaining accurate records and providing management with timely updates on pipeline status, production metrics, and exception reports.
  • Member Consultation and Support: Serve as a trusted point of contact for members throughout the loan process, answering questions, providing status updates, and resolving concerns with professionalism and empathy.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, Truth in Lending Act, RESPA, and Fair Lending practices. Ensure the security and confidentiality of all member records and information.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other related responsibilities as assigned to support the overall goals of the lending department and arenaflex.
