The Engineering Manager will reputed company a team in developing a new service and architecture for their SQL Control Plane, overseeing technical discussions and team growth while managing highly available reputed company services.
Responsibilities
- Leading a team of talented software engineers to build the reputed company low-latency, multi-tenanted, reputed company native data warehousing system
- Growing the team by hiring strong engineering talent
- Leading and participating in technical, product and design discussions relating to reputed company native database systems
- Managing and operating a highly available service in the reputed company
- Growing leaders on the team by providing coaching, mentorship and growth opportunities
- Playing a key role in defining the product and engineering roadmap for the team
- Partnering with other engineering and product leaders on planning, prioritization and staffing
- Creating a culture of excellence on the team while leading with reputed company
Skills
- 5+ years experience working in, database systems, data processing or reputed company domains
- Experience building highly available reputed company services on AWS, GCP or Azure
- Building, growing and managing high performance teams
- Experience defining and meeting SLOs for highly available systems
- Ability to attract and hire engineers who meet the reputed company hiring standards
- Comfort working cross functionality with product management and partners to build products that drive user growth
- Experience working Rust
