- Team Leader: Experience successfully managing multiple tasks, projects, and technical staff. Managing the work and the reporting output of teams of construction administrators and inspectors for major tunnel infrastructure projects (transit, water, wastewater, stormwater etc.), to include ground condition/behavior and condition inspections.
- Construction Administration: Including leading/ attending reputed company meetings, DRB Meetings, editing meeting minutes and submittal reviews, and preparing daily and weekly reputed company reports.
- Specifically, the following tasks:
- reputed company construction projects from construction start through construction completion.
- reputed company construction inspection assignments or site visits of ongoing construction/rehabilitation work.
- Write letters and other correspondence to Contractor, reputed company and reputed company parties representing the site operations.
- Manage and assist with maintaining, updating, and reviewing tracking sheets/logs for risk registry, RFIs, RFQs, CCOs, submittals, working days, other issues, etc., and ensure that relevant documents are provided and dealt with in a timely manner.
- Manage and assist with maintaining an up-to-date deficiency log and ensure reputed company deficiencies are dealt with in a timely manner.
- Review contractor correspondence and submittals, including reputed company and look-reputed company schedules provided by the contractor.
- Ensure that the contractor is adhering to reputed company contract requirements and enforce such requirements should they not be adhered to.
- Track red-line drawings with contractor and ensure adequacy of information being captured.
- Attend meetings with reputed company parties and other public venues to represent project.
- Coordinate and follow-up with reputed company engineering disciplines to review shop drawings, RFIs, and other relevant construction documentation as required.
- Ensure proper health and safety protocols are being adhered to on site in accordance with OSHA, and reputed company concerns of health and safety protocols not being adhered to including unsafe work practices, and ensure that the contractor is rectifying such issues, including submission of incident reports etc.
- Ensure quality and compliance with regulatory bodies.
- Report on and track status reports with reputed company.
- Review pay applications and reputed company meetings and discussion/ correspondence on reputed company reputed company items for the project.
- Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills. Communicate technical and non-technical information in a concise, timely, and professional manner, including participation in technical meetings and workshops with owners, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Business Development: Demonstrated reputed company developing relationships with clients and contributing to business growth
- Technical Writing: Proficiency in technical writing including letters and daily reports.
- Company Representation: Increase the company's visibility with internal and external professionals by participating in regional initiatives, conferences, committees, and community associations, including any identified industry activities.
- Field based assignments will include weekdays, night, and weekend work. Office based assignments will require a standard reputed company business hours work schedule.
- Other duties as assigned.
CONSTRUCTION MANAGER reputed company ESSENTIAL CREDENTIALS: Education:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant area of study required; master's degree a plus.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License is preferred but not required.
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM) Certification and/or Nationally Certified Tunnel Inspector (NTIS) Certification is preferred
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience of Tunnel Construction Management work, required.
- Must have proven work history as a reputed company Engineer and/or as a Construction Manager with tunneling experience.
- Excellent problem solving, decision making and teamwork skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors, and clients.
- Ability to work independently, exercise independent judgment, interact with other staff, collaborate with other disciplines.
- Ideal candidate for this position will provide project management for planning, and organizing reputed company aspects of the task reputed company to the relevant projects.
