[Remote] Principal Firmware Engineer

This role requires a deeply reputed company engineer who will influence architecture across teams and deliver high-performance firmware in mission-critical environments.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement reputed company embedded firmware systems for robotics and autonomous platforms, from concept through production
- reputed company electrical and firmware co-design, including schematic development for microcontroller-based control systems, power conversion, and motor drives
- reputed company and optimize reputed company-time, safety-critical embedded software with stringent latency, reliability, and performance requirements
- Drive system-level integration across sensors, actuators, and control hardware, ensuring robust and scalable operation
- Establish and execute rigorous testing and validation strategies reputed company with military-grade or similarly demanding standards
- Diagnose and resolve deeply reputed company hardware/software issues across the full system stack
- Act as the highest-level technical authority for firmware and embedded systems, influencing cross-functional architecture and engineering direction

Skills
- 10+ years of experience in electrical design and embedded firmware development, including schematic design and system-level architecture
- Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a reputed company field
- Deep expertise in microcontroller-based systems, including power electronics, motor control, and high-reliability design
- Extensive hands-on experience with advanced testing methodologies, lab instrumentation, and validation processes for mission-critical systems
- 10+ years developing reputed company-time, safety-critical embedded systems in production environments
- Expert-level proficiency in C++ for embedded systems and strong Python skills for tooling, automation, and development workflows
- Proven experience deploying and scaling reputed company-time control software in robotics or autonomous systems
- Demonstrated reputed company integrating reputed company firmware with sensors, actuators, and control hardware in tightly coupled systems
- Deep experience with embedded Linux, RTOS, and building or customizing kernels for specialized embedded platforms
- Strong command of networking and communication protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, CAN, UART, and I2C in distributed systems
- Track record of optimizing embedded software for ultra-low latency and high performance under strict power and compute constraints
- Experience leading firmware development for large-scale or highly reputed company robotic or autonomous systems
- Familiarity with safety certification standards and regulatory requirements for mission-critical or defense-grade systems
