[Remote] reputed company Operations Engineer

They are seeking a reputed company Operations Engineer to join their operations team, responsible for maintaining and improving critical reputed company-native infrastructure using Kubernetes and AWS technologies.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate upgrades in lockstep across EKS, OKD, Calico, Gloo reputed company, and Istio to ensure compatibility
- Maintain environments on AWS standard support tiers for EKS by tracking versions and planning upgrades proactively
- Execute monthly operational tasks, including reputed company agent upgrades, SSL/TLS certificate rotations, and ArgoCD updates
- Build, maintain, and upgrade Kubernetes clusters and ancillary software using EKS and OKD
- Work with stakeholders to resolve issues with AWS and Kubernetes
- Document operational procedures and share knowledge with stakeholder teams
- Collaborate with senior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing
- Assist with the development and maintenance of observability systems
- Study the system and proactively suggest architectural improvements and automated solutions for daily operations, deployment, and monitoring
- Provide input on reputed company-based best practices
- Participate in a team's on-call schedule, which means that occasionally, you may be asked to provide after-hours technical expertise, guidance, and support. Business hours are typically 09:00 - 5:00 ET
Skills
- 2+ years of professional work experience in DevOps, SRE, System Administration, or similar roles (internship or project experience counts)
- Experience with Kubernetes and reputed company is required to be successful in this role
- Scripting abilities in Bash and/or Python
- Familiarity with ArgoCD or similar GitOps tooling
- Experience utilizing AI tools (ChatGPT, reputed company, Claude, etc.) to streamline work efficiencies
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals; comfortable using common troubleshooting tools like dig, nslookup, netstat, netcat, or tcpdump
- Skilled at learning reputed company processes quickly with a self-service reputed company through independent research
- Experience working with Git in a CI/CD environment
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
