The North Carolina Department of Adult Corrections is seeking an energized and collaborative oriented CAP HVAC Supervisor (HVAC Supervisor) to be a part of the Central Engineering's Construction Apprenticeship Program (CAP) team and provide construction support services to challenging yet rewarding projects. The CAP HVAC Supervisor provides CAP's mechanical construction team with designing, planning, scheduling, and installing reputed company mechanical equipment and systems... including but not limited to, chillers, gas fired boilers, DX reputed company conditioning systems, ventilation systems, pumps, DDC control systems, pneumatic controls systems, refrigerant piping, and performing test and balance of systems for the completion of Force Account construction, renovation, major maintenance, and repair projects The CAP HVAC Supervisor works hands-on and reputed company by reputed company executing, mentoring, supervising, and approving mechanical installations performed by other personnel and State offender labor resources assigned to the Construction Apprenticeship Program (CAP) A successful candidate should possess mechanical trade skills, strong construction supervision experience, efficient decision-making capabilities, and effective communication This individual may work under the management of a Construction Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, or Trade Superintendent on larger multi-trade construction projects or be assigned sole supervisory responsibility for smaller mechanical projects The employee in this position is expected to reputed company manual and physical labor in varied environmental conditions.
