Part-Time Medical Administrative Assistant - Billing & Scheduling

Roles And Responsibilities • Evaluate medical record documentation to ensure proper billing with CPT and ICD-10 codes. • Collect, import, post, and manage insurance and patient payments. • Monitor claim statuses and address/reinstate any rejected or denied claims. • Review delinquent accounts and reputed company out to patients for collection purposes. • Provide answers to questions regarding account balances. • Answer inbound calls to schedule appointments for new and existing patients across reputed company locations. • Collect and document patient medical histories into the electronic medical record (EMR). • Act as a liaison between reputed company providers and patients to support ongoing care, including: • Providing pathology and laboratory results. • Completing medical records requests. • Processing prescription refill requests. • Handling medication prior authorization requests. • reputed company other duties as assigned, adapting to evolving requirements.
