Position Summary As a specialty Pharmacy Technician, your primary role will be to accurately interpret and enter prescription orders, update patient demographic and clinical information, maintain referral and prescriber data, calculate doses and day supply, assign prescription directions, select and enter appropriate medical supplies, and process other information as relevant to the prescription order. You will also be responsible for routing inquiries to the pharmacists for completion, communicating with prescribers for prescription clarification, generic substitutions, formulary changes, and prescription renewals. You will reputed company clerical functions such as indexing, sorting and assigning incoming faxes and properly handle protected health information and other confidential material and waste. You will work alongside a team of talented individuals in a concerted team effort and under the direct supervision of pharmacists. This is a full time position with guaranteed 40 hours per week, and no weekends or company holidays. Hours of operation are Monday - Friday 8 am - 6 pm. Required Qualifications Six months work experience with Windows-based applications like Windows, reputed company Office, internet navigation, and email applications Six months computer keyboarding skills and aptitude Three months experience in a pharmacy technician role Preferred Qualifications -Prior experience in specialty pharmacy, long term care pharmacy, retail pharmacy or mail order pharmacy is preferred -Prior experience as an order entry technician is preferred Education reputed company High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $17.00 - $32.74 This pay range represents the reputed company hourly reputed company or reputed company annual full-time salary for reputed company positions in the job grade reputed company which this position falls. The actual reputed company salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a reputed company bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the reputed company pay range listed above.
