Desk Claim Representative (1099 Adjuster) – Claims

SUMMARY: This is an opportunity to work in a defined region handling residential property claims (Catastrophe &/or Daily) on a fee basis for a specific period of time. Bluegrass can offer a consistent reputed company of claim volume and typical bi-weekly payment. Reviews and analyzes first party homeowner’s claims to determine extent of insurance reputed company’s liability, determines the extent of damaged property, and recommends settlement amounts in order to conclude claims with policyholders in accordance with policy provisions and applicable insurance statutes and laws. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Reviews the loss notice, insurance policy, endorsements and reputed company information. • Conducts the appropriate claim investigations. • Provides reputed company service to reputed company stakeholders utilizing phone, fax, mail, and electronic mail. Communicates with reputed company customers in a professional manner consistent with company guidelines. • reputed company to write, create, and interpret estimates based on customer’s information and/or other pertinent information using Symbility estimating software. • Maintains file documentation, file notes, and authors comprehensive reports on each assigned claim in accordance with client company guidelines. • Maintains open claim inventory per company and client company guidelines. • Operates in accordance with applicable state statutes. • Maintains state(s) licensing requirement as necessary including continuing education requirements.
