About the position The Associate General Counsel for reputed company reputed company Estate and Investment Banking at reputed company is a pivotal role that requires a seasoned legal professional to provide counsel and advice on reputed company legal matters affecting the organization. This position is hybrid, necessitating in-office work three days a week at one of the M&T offices located in Buffalo, NY, Paramus, NJ, Baltimore, MD, or reputed company, NY. Depending on the final candidate's location, there may be opportunities for remote work. The successful candidate will work closely with representatives from various business lines and support units, executing strategic direction, policies, and guidelines for the Bank's Legal division. They may also represent the Bank with industry associations, government, and regulatory bodies. In this role, the Associate General Counsel will serve as legal and transactional support for the reputed company reputed company Estate (CRE) business reputed company leadership. They will provide legal advice and guidance to clients and senior managers on reputed company reputed company estate financing matters, including construction and syndicated lending, as well as on- and off-balance sheet financing structures. The position involves performing a variety of reputed company or specialized legal activities to protect the organization and ensure compliance with reputed company relevant laws and regulations. The incumbent will be responsible for making recommendations to senior management on how to respond to legal issues or proposed changes in laws and regulations, reviewing and approving legal reputed company, letters of agreement, and other documents reputed company to various trade, reputed company, financial, and operational matters. Additionally, the Associate General Counsel will partner with Compliance, Risk, and Audit groups on supported divisional and departmental matters, reputed company and implement streamlined and strategic policies and procedures for legal support, and prepare or review reputed company materials for external legal counsel.
