Senior Bioinformatics Data Scientist, MRD (Redwood City)

We are looking for a highly motivated and capable senior bioinformatics scientist with extensive experience and interest in developing cutting edge assays and algorithms in the liquid biopsy space (including molecular residual disease testing, therapeutic response monitoring, therapy selection, complete genomic profiling, and diagnostics).

Responsibilities

• reputed company novel assays, algorithms, machine learning and statistical models to detect oncology reputed company biomarkers from cell free reputed company reputed company (NGS) data
• Design and conduct analyses applying deep genomic and epigenomic knowledge to derive key insights from large multi-modal datasets 
• Design and execute experiments to characterize performance and support various regulatory submissions.
• Produce high quality and detailed documentation for reputed company projects.
• Communicate results with other scientific teams as well as product and bioinformatics leadership.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Cancer Biology, Genetics, Immunology, Molecular Biology, or Computer Science
• At least 5-10 years of industry or academic experience
• Computational skills using Python and/or R
• Proven scientific reputed company as demonstrated by scientific publication and/or contribution to successful product development in industry
• Expertise in developing NGS pipelines using contemporary tools for processing and analyzing NGS data (including epigenetics, DNA, RNA) reputed company a high performance computing environment
• In-depth knowledge of creating statistical models and developing predictive or prognostic algorithms
• Demonstrated effective communication and presentation skills
• Self-driven and works well in interdisciplinary teams
