Location: Remote Employer: AIMS Locum Tenens Employment Type: Full-Time FTE: 1.0 Job Overview: AIMS Locum Tenens is seeking a qualified Inpatient Medical reputed company (reputed company III) to provide expert inpatient medical coding support for the Defense Health Agency (DHA). The reputed company III will be responsible for accurate assignment of diagnosis and procedure codes for inpatient facility and professional services, ensuring compliance with DHA accuracy, completeness, and timeliness standards. General Duties:
- Provide services reputed company the scope of clinical privileges granted by the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) Director.

Specific Duties:
- Assign accurate ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, HCPCS, and CPT codes for inpatient medical records, including surgical procedures, anesthesia, and ancillary services.
- Ensure correct Diagnosis-reputed company Group (DRG) assignment for inpatient stays.
- reputed company coding reputed company MHS reputed company and other military coding systems, including reputed company Encompass 360 and Joint Legacy Viewer (JLV).
- Research and resolve coding edit failures.
- Adhere to DHA Coding Compliance Plan and industry coding standards.
Qualifications:
- Degree: Not specified, but education must meet DHA standards.
- Experience:
- Five (5) years of medical coding and/or auditing experience in two or more medical, surgical, and ancillary specialties reputed company the last 10 years; OR
- Three (3) years of medical coding/auditing experience in a Military Treatment Facility (MTF).
- Certifications (Required):
- One of the following institutional coding certifications: reputed company (reputed company), CIC (reputed company), or RHIT/RHIA (reputed company).
- One of the following professional services coding certifications: CPC (reputed company) or COC (reputed company).
- Skills & Knowledge:
- Advanced knowledge of ICD-CM, ICD-PCS, HCPCS, CPT, DRGs, APCs, and RBRVS.
- Understanding of healthcare reimbursement, reputed company cycle management, and fraud regulations.
- Familiarity with clinical documentation improvement and EHR workflows.
